Beginning in Istria and landing in America, carrying with her the love for Italian cuisine, Lidia revolutionized the immage of Italian coking in american culture, beginning in the 1970’s with her restauraut Felidia. She has not stopped since: winner of a prestigious Emmy Award, and together with her son Joe and partner Mario Batali, today she runs numerous restaurants around the world along with her two "Lidia's" restaurants in Kansas City and Pittsburgh. She is a partner with Oscar Farinetti at Eataly New York and Chicago, and along with daughter Tanya, author of numerous cookbooks and children's books. Lidia has always sought to transmit her passion for the best raw materials and ingredients. Gagliano has been Lidia’s dedicated family refuge for a number of years.
